250th anniversary of the discovery of the Kingston Brooch
Thursday 5 August 2021 marks a special anniversary in the history of Kentish archaeology - the 250th anniversary of the discovery of the Kingston Brooch by Bryan Faussett. The brooch still stands as one of the greatest Anglo-Saxon finds in British archaeology.
To mark the occasion, Dr David Wright, author of Bryan Faussett - Antiquary Extraordinarywill give a talk in Kingston village hall on Friday 6 August at 7pm. Various documents will be on show and a selection of slides relating to Faussett's life and work will accompany the talk.
