As a long-time professional philatelic cataloguer and valuer, I buy stamps and will make an immediate cash offer without obligation after examining your material. |
Please send a rough description in the first instance, detailing the main countries and approximate starting-dates, and say whether the stamps are loose or mounted in albums.
Please take a closer look at these stamps and their captions by clicking on each image.

Questions - Stamps & Philately
Which British stamps are valid for postage?
All British stamps issued since decimalisation in 1971 are still value for postage (excluding odd halfpenny amounts).
Are stamps a good investment?
Generally yes, but returns are not dramatic or fast, and certain countries rise and fall in popularity over the years. The best returns are made on serious comprehensive collections built up with care and knowledge over many years. Speculative purchase of blue chip items depends greatly on where they are purchased. Never invest in anything you do not understand yourself !
Are any modern stamps valuable?
Generally not, as large numbers are printed. However, Chinese stamps issued in the 1960s and 1970s during the Cultural Revolution have shown astonishing gains in value, chiefly because nobody knows how many were printed, and because the Chinese now see stamps as part of their heritage.
